Chaos Vantage 2.7 improves real-time rendering with OCIO color management, DLSS 4, new lens effects, better scattering, and support for AMD and Intel GPUs, making it a top choice for VFX and architectural visualization.
Chaos has unveiled Vantage 2.7, the latest update to its real-time ray tracing renderer for large-scale V-Ray scenes in architecture and VFX. This version adds OCIO color management, new lens effects, and better support for V-Ray’s scattering features.
The new update improves Chaos Scatter, allowing scatter distribution maps from V-Ray 7 and scatter surface color from .vrscene files. It also adds the highly requested VRayDirt texture and updates the Sun and Sky system to use V-Ray 7’s PRG Clear Sky model, creating more realistic sunrise and sunset lighting.
Vantage 2.7 introduces lens distortion simulation with ST maps, making it easier to match real-world camera distortions seen in compositing and tracking software. It also now supports both camera and optical vignetting, plus new Blur/Sharpen controls in the Color Corrections tab for quick post-processing adjustments.

Support for OpenColorIO (OCIO) has been added, improving color management for VFX workflows. NVIDIA’s AI-driven DLSS 4 is also included, reducing ghosting and flickering during real-time rendering.
Other improvements include video encoding support for AMD and Intel GPUs and the ability to export 16-bit PNG files for images of higher quality.
